Dent in head after banging it

I banged my head on a shelf 3 months ago and it left a dent. I got it checked at the time and they said it was OK but it's still the same, 3 months later. I wondered if anyone knows if it should have healed or will I be left with a dent. It really doesn't matter as it's on the top, back of my head but it feels disconcerting.

DH has a dent on his head from an injury almost 20 years ago.

I've got a dent in my head from falling onto the corner for a marble harth when I was about 5 or 6. A nice long line where.
Never caused me any issues, but now thinking that could be why I'm just bat shit crazy half the time!

I also have a dent in my forehead from falling and hitting my head on the corner of the kerb a a chid, and I'm 43 now.

Still have a depression from falling six months ago. Also sore to touch.
