High liver enzymes

I have high liver function test results while on statins. Has anyone else had this and been ok ?

How high is high? And have you also been unwell or are these monitoring tests?
You're best off asking the person who requested the tests though if this is ok for you, because different strokes for different folks and all that.

It’s doubled Stopped statins for a month then being retested. I have health anxiety so always assume I’m dying.

Diet and alcohol are big causes of deranged LFTs. Did you have normal blood tests previously?

Yes fine for two years. Diet is good, don’t drink much.

It's a common side effect of certain statin meds. My older sister had awful LFTs and was panicking, she was taken off the statins and within a month or so her LFTs were normal again.

She was also getting bad aches and pains which have also gone since she stopped the statins. Her cholesterol was not off the charts, so doc is keeping an eye on it, and said that there are statins that don't interfere with the liver, if she needs them.
