Any dentists about? Possible dry socket/infection

I had a tooth extraction on Friday, pretty straight forward extraction. I was already coming down with a virus when I had the tooth extracted (cough/cold). I have some pain in the area the tooth was extracted from, some fever but possibly from the virus and not the extraction. My gum above the extraction is pretty red but no obvious swelling, some pain in my jaw and face but again it’s controllable with pain killers. Should I get it checked out or is it just normal healing? I don’t want to go to the dentist when I have a virus but I’m unsure if the fever could be infection of the socket?
