I’m pretty sure I have low iron, can anyone recommend a supplement? I previously used Spatone, but am wondering if there are any new products available, I’ve looked online but there are so many options.

thank you 🤩

I just buy ferrous fumarate and take it with vitamin c every other day

You can buy over the counter ferritin tests at Boots (and presumably other pharmacies.)

I usually take ferrous sulphate (similar to ferrous fumarate, which I've also had in the past.) You need to ask the pharmacist for it, and I usually get quizzed on whether I've been prescribed it.

Remember to take it with vital c to help absorption and avoid foods which can inhibit it. Eat leafy green veg, red meat, etc which are iron rich.

It's important not to get your iron levels too high, though.

Thank you both for replying, I’m going into the town tomorrow so I will look for the test in Boots and then buy some of the supplements if needed, I take vit C daily anyway, but it’s good to know that it’s need in combination with the ferrous supplements.
