Hello.
I have had on and off pain in my thigh/pelvic area for 2-3 years and it worsens with activity such as walking, running, lack of sleep etc. Sharp tinging sensation or as though something has moved out of place, sometimes stiffens and pulls its a mixture of sensations. Worsened more recently. I went to the GP last week and they think its a femoral hernia but referred me to musculoskeletal which given the wait times in my area, its probably going to be around a year. But I am in agonising pain sometimes!

I was on my feet all day yesterday and as a result can’t walk without limping or holding onto support. I am 28. Feel like I shouldn’t be having these pains! As I went to dr last week I have no idea what to do apart from take the pain which seems to get worse each time.

Yes defintely get to msk Op, any chance you could see a private physio while you wait? Do you have pain or restriction around the hip or groin? Any chance you are hypermobile in general?

I don’t think I am hypermobile. Yep its sort of pain and restriction in the inner part of thigh/groin? I am not sure how to explain it but I have attached a photo marking where if that helps.

I will try consult a private physio I am sure there is one in the area. Its calmed down now with a good night sleep but really flares up throughout the day and unbearable by the evening - especially after a busy day which seems like the everyday at the minute.

Thank you for clarifying the area, could be a number of things there.. local adductor muscle but also hip joint referral from your description. See if you can check in with a good physio whilst can do some tests of the various structures to help identify it.
