What is your supplement regime?

What is your supplement regime? What do you take it for and why? Do you notice any difference?
For myself:

  • NMN (I’m not in the UK so don’t think this is registered there). Apparently anti aging / cell regeneration etc
  • l Theanine for clarity and focus (this is something I can feel)
  • multi vitamin (who knows if these actually do anything?)
  • creatine (for muscle mass, heavily researched as beneficial)
  • magnesium glycinate (better sleep. I sleep ok so it must work)

And also a liquid probiotic everyday for gut health. I’m not convinced about probiotics in capsule form, I feel like they should be ‘alive and fermented’. But I’m not a doctor or health professional 😂

I take

3 in 1 magnesium glycinate, malate & citrate - sleep, recovery and energy

omega 3 - huge host of benefits

Ashwanga - sleep and stress

vit d + K3

Sleep and recovery have definitely improved. I didn’t take the supplements when we went on holiday and my sleep was much poorer, may have been coincident but may not have been. I feel so much better with so much more energy during the day.

Magnesium Glycinate

Do they work?🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes! Just reminded me that I also occasionally take collagen. I’m probably getting no benefit out of it because I’m not taking it regularly. I can only really stomach it in a shake which is too calorie dense for me in the mornings. How else could I take it? I know some people stir it into their morning coffee but I just can’t handle the smell and creamy texture.

I take food grown multi-vit (for 45+ women), omega 3, magnesium and vit D.

Thinking of switching to something like Sisterly to try and get most of it in one go!

I wonder about multi tabs… how do they get all the benefits into one dose? I feel like there must be some loss of benefit? It would be really handy to be able to combine everything, I feel like a bit of a drug mule when I lay it all out in the morning.

I take the collagen as a capsule twice a day. From my vitamins. It’s marine collagen, and I know some people want bovine, but I thought I’d try it.

Same. SO many tablets. Sisterly is a sachet. I do wonder about strengths but reviews are good. My DH takes that AG1 one daily and swears by it. I guess Sisterly is similar but tailored for women. There are others obviously but I just came across that one recently through the Women in Ireland network.

I read that you’d have to have 5 to 10 capsules to match a scoop of powder. This would obviously depend on the quality of the product I guess. May have to just hold my nose 😂

Lysine is also great if you suffer from cold sores

That seems pretty similar to my regime. I’m not sure if NMN is something you feel or if it’s something that is working behind the scenes. I take it religiously everyday and have done so for about 2 years.
