Day 7 of amoxicillin and still in loads of pain

It's a toothache after 2 root canals and I feel pants - taking a lot of pain killers again (it died down a bit on day 3 &4 then came back)

One antibiotic left to take at bed time

Should I ring the dentist tomorrow or give it longer and wait until Monday

Phone tomorrow. You might need a different antibiotic, it would be awful to have an infection getting worse and worse over the weekend. I hope things improve for you quickly

they’ll probably put you on a stronger one like metronidazole

If that's the case call 111 and see if you can get an emergency GP/urgent care appointment. Otherwise you might have to go to A&E. If you are feeling ill you need different antibiotics.

Yes if you’re feeling worse and your antibiotics are almost done, you need to be seen. If the dentist won’t help call 111 or see a GP

TBH I thought Id feel at my worst last weekend, butbi managed work OK despite the weather but today has been awful

It's loads better this morning but still enough that if I woke up one morning with this toothache I'd want an appointment

So most of the time it's OK

In.the evenings i get a dull ache and during the day random large pain that lasts a few seconds and disappear (not connected with eating or drinking)

I'll ring later today it doesn't deserve the Monday morning panic

Amoxicillin never worked for my teeth infections, metronidazol seems to sort it out

Oh @VehicleTracker77 how awful, i hate teeth - they hurt when they are coming, they hurt when they are going & in-between they are pretty pants
