LOW FERRITIN....WEIRD SYMPTOMS

Hi all. Just wondering who has had low ferritin for years but got worse years down the line and what awful symptoms you're dealing with? My ferritin has been between 5-17 since 2019. Currently at 14. B12 247 fokate 3.7 vit d 34 tranaferrin 11% breathlessness,dizziness, weakness,vision issues,cramps,pains, but rhe scariest one is like a disassociation feelinf and weied all over like my body is shutting down :(

I have that. My last reading was 7 and in the end I had to bite the bullet and have an iron infusion of 1,000 mg (maximum allowed) to sort it out. I’m going tomorrow to have a blood test and see how it’s looking now. It’s been 2 weeks.

symptoms - for years! were foggy brain, brittle hair and nails, severe hair loss, being easily out of breath especially going up the stairs, feeling like I need to sit down after doing something minimal.

the first change I’ve noticed after the infusion is that my hair stopped falling. That was within 2 days from getting the procedure. I’d love to have another one done as soon as allowed, it would be wonderful to have normal levels.
