I am 52 and due my first routine mammogram in 3 weeks, which I feel a little anxious about. I do regularly check for breast changes, usually in the shower. Thought I would have a good check in the shower and laying on the bed.
Stupid question but if I’ve been left with breast bruising, I’ve been overly vigorous? Bruising cleared up in a day. The deeper tissue at the back seems ropey and each time I check I seem to find more lumps and bumps.
Ten years ago I got referred to the breast clinic and got diagnosed with 3 tiny cysts. I thought then that my breasts were lumpy, but she said they were not at all lumpy. Obviously they could have changed . I am perimenopause and not on HRT.
