Trembling fingers

Maybe 4 or 5 times yesterday my little finger on my left hand visibly trembled .
Today it is happening every few minutes, it only lasts between 1-5 seconds.
I do have what feels like a line of numbness on my arm which goes from inner elbow to wrist below the thumb - that started 18 months ago when a nerve was hit having a blood test. I don’t know if that’s at all related.

Any ideas what could be going on with my finger?

My friend suffers occasionally from this, however the trembling affects all her fingers. Her symptoms are worse when she is suffering from stress or has not had enough sleep. She also has to avoid drinking too much caffeine (which is harder during the hot weather as she drinks a lot of diet fizzy drinks). Hopefully your trembling will get better, but if they get worse you should see a medical professional.

Have you been doing a lot of repetitive work with that hand eg typing, polishing, weeding? Could you have some sort of RSI that is affecting that nerve (due to some swelling/inflammation)?

I'd go to the GP or, if it's an option for you, try a physio, as they can be more knowledgeable than GPs about mechanical and muscular things in the body. (And IME send you to the GP if they think you need to see one)

Is it definitely a tremble or could it be a muscle twitch? I get lots of muscle twitches and if I get them in my hand they will make my finger or thumb move back and forth very quickly so it could look like a tremble.

Same happened to me after they couldn't find the vein properly (left a massive bruise on my inner elbow crease). I'm assuming they caught/bruised a nerve. It's not as bad now but we're talking about 3 years later. It does seem to be slowly getting better though.
