hI
I suffer with bilateral achilles tendinopathy with calcium deposits that form out on top that I can see and feel most of the time.
My issue is since Wednesday I've had this throbbing feeling and hurts to walk now today I can see a white line where it hurts any ideas what it can be?

I have this too.
Shockwave therapy worked for about 6 months, but then I went for a run and buggered it again!

Try shockwave.

I believe shockwave therapy can help. The other (NHS) option would be physiotherapy/stretches. It can be a long haul, and you need to be careful because over-stretching can lead to a ruptured tendon. If you can afford it, see a good private podiatrist.

Been given physio to stretch calf as tight and options for surgery but don't want that
Any ideas why its now gone like the photo and throbbing ?

Do you wear a wedge in your shoe? This helps. You've probably just over stretched it again.
Mine sometimes gets aggravated when I walk up a steep hill.
Or when I'm doing lunges if I don't get my foot placement right.

Assume you've had an MRI as you describe the calcification.
Can you re-refer to the consultant?

@IlovelowryI've had xrays and ultrasound that's all

OK. Well get a wedge for your shoe and book an appt with a physio who does shockwave.

Beware, it is excruciating and I nearly shot off the bed! And it hurts for a couple of days afterwards. But does work. Good luck!

Alternate ice and heat. Works better than just ice.
10mins for each one then swap.
