Hello All. I have posted about this before but not got many answers

I am 1.5 years Post partum with my second.

I have lost some unintentional weight since giving birth which is another story.

However one thing i've noticed during this time is that at either side of my belly button I feel I have two rock hard abs (well at least i hope it's abs i'm feeling) but where my belly button is I can stick my fingers in and it seems empty. Can anyone tell from my pictures if it looks like I may have it?

Yes that's it but not a big gap at all so it's probably healed as much as it will not after two kids. Mine has stayed at about that after my second, after dd2 was born I could got 4 finger widths in there but yoga and weights have made it seal up to about what you have
Deep core exercises do help but I've found yoga to be the best thing as it activates the deep core muscles that are needed to help bring the top and back together

thanks! it runs quite high up my stomach but pics were for reference. I feel i can almost tuck my fingers under the abs around it 🥴 I've just started the gym again so hoping that it will improve over the next year.

jusr a few things i've read said it usually goes back to normal after a few months post partum

I was told that most women's returns but if it was badly stretched in pregnancy it doesn't hence you can still put your fingers in. You need to restore the deep core muscles really so not so much sit ups but more things that you need to stabilise yourself whilst doing, the plank, weights, doing things whilst sat on a ball etc

I did years and years of exercise/physio (to the point where I had a 6-pack, but stills 6cm gap). I had abdominoplasty to correct it—it was NOT going to close.
