Post - op gallbladder lump

Hey all - I'm 5 weeks out from having my gallbladder removed & the recovery has been going pretty well tbh. 4 incisions all healing excellently.

This morning, however, I'm tender around my bellybutton & just uncomfortable. So I had a little press & there's an undefined lump slightly above my belly button & to the right that's definitely firmer than the rest of my squishy belly & is tender to press. I'm aware of it even without pressing.

Don't feel unwell otherwise & am work right now so a bit stuck.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Is it near an incision, if so that's really common ?

No, the incision is across the bottom of my bellybutton (like 3cm wide). All the incisions are nice and flat & mostly healed. This feels deeper than skin-deep iyswim

Even if the incisions are healed and flat you can still have internal scar lumps and bumps near the area. I've had it and so has dh too with similar ops.

@DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Thank you, spoke to my GP who wants to see me tomorrow but she suggested that sort of thing. Just post-op 'stuff'. So I'll go get prodded in the morning :)

Good idea, I was convinced I had a post op hernia but it was just all settling down. Hope yours is equally as normal .
