Help with nail biting and problematic finger warts

My daughter who is 10 has multiple warts around her nails on 7 fingers. She bites her nails, fingers and the warts which is probably what's spread them. They're now very sore looking and frequently bleed - although she claims they're not sore! I've tried freezing them with OTC treatment which did nothing. I've got a GP appointment but it's a long time away. So thought I'd ask here for suggestions on 1) getting rid of these warts and 2) reducing the problematic nail biting, particularly cuticle biting and surrounding skin. Thanks!

I had loads of warts as a kid (grew up on a farm) and I would bite them and they would bleed, but they didn't hurt. It was grim for other people but I quite enjoyed it. They vanished almost overnight when I hit puberty and have never returned. I guess my body turned into a hormonal hostile environment.
