STI worry. Actually terror.

I am getting more and more scared that I may have an STI.

I have an appointment booked on Tuesday but the results will take weeks. I’m hoping at least that the nurse will help but I’ve never had a test before so I don’t know how they work.

I had sex about eight weeks ago with a man I know reasonably well but had never been intimate with before. I have seen him once since it was in a busy place and we didn’t talk.

We had sex twice and he used a condom both times. I hadn’t had sex for a long time prior to that but have always been absolutely fastidious when it comes to safe sex.

Since that night I have masturbated about five or six times. On about half of the occasions I have bled slightly afterwards, which has never happened before. Recently a rash has developed around my vulva. This may be heat related i suppose but combined with the bleeding I am now worried that it’s an STI of some kind. Google tells me all sorts of things. It would be so annoying and upsetting if it was an STI. I am always careful (and I have the sex life of a nun).

I know that the test next week will confirm things but I just need to get this off my chest as I’m worried.

You’ve done the right thing booking in for a test. Are you up to date with smear tests too?

I am. I’ve always been for a test when it’s due but it has been over two years since the last one. I will mention this at the STI test because that thought did cross my mind.

Are you certain it’s not friction related? Like could the sex not have irritated you a little if too dry and then you’ve agitated it since? The skin round there could have become sensitive? Il be honest, I’ve no idea, just trying to add a different perspective. I’m assuming you already would no if you were allergic to condoms etc

i’m not certain about anything! But I don’t think it’s that. The sex wasn’t uncomfortable and nothing penetrative has happened since to irritate my vagina. who knows though?

I’m not alllwtgic to condoms either, as far as has always been the case til mow.
