Itchy piles

I first had piles during pregnancy and then at various times since it’s flared up now and again.

The last bout has been 6 months on and off. Normally they aren’t sticking out but they did bleed badly when pooing etc and to be honest the relief them from wiping hard was a bitter circle. I would wipe or itch on a daily basis - lots of bleeding and more itchy.

I wiped hard or itched it and then it bled making it more itchy etc the urge to itch was awful and I guess I’ve had 3-4 months when it was really bad and heavy bleeding most days

Ive tried with pessaries, creams etc in a daily basis. Warm baths don’t make a difference.

For the last couple of weeks it hasn’t bled and I’m wiping gently and it then itches like a bugger but I haven’t itched at all and after an hour or so it stops itching. I would say I’ve had no bleeding so at least 2-3 weeks but the itching partially straight after a poo is awful. 😢 I’m so trying not to and thinking of how far I had come to stop it. But when will they stop itching - all are inside now and not bleeding at all.

I long for the simple times of a normal poop and no itching.

Anything else I can try??

Steroid cream from the GP and anti-histamines.
