I had my first child 6 years ago, during the pregnancy I had a thrombosed haemorrhoid, honestly when it was just ‘out’ & still bleeding it was excruciating. Anyway as time went on it remained ‘outside’ but stopped hurting. Then had my second child 2 years ago & got another couple of these. I just had a look in the mirror & dear God what a dropped lasagne of a sight. There is 3 or 4 of them. Probably 1 inch long each of them or just over. One still looks ‘live’ as in you can see purple within it, like a vein (so sorry if you’re having your dinner) but the others look dead. Somehow they don’t get in my way but I think they just need to go. I’d have to go Private probably & that’s fine but I just wondered if anyone had had the op to have them removed before? Was the recovery painful? Did they come back?

Yep, it hurt a lot but it was within a few years of giving birth so I had perspective and it wasn't too bad in comparison 😬.

They've come back a bit but not nearly as bad as before.

Mine were done on the NHS
