Where do you get your NDT?

I have a slightly hypo thyroid but am symptomatic, in fact I have every symptom listed regarding hypothyroidism but the GP won't do anything but treat the symptoms. I'm currently on Iron, B12, B Complex, selenium, vitamin D and magnesium at the endocrinologist suggestion, but currently feeling no better. I have my 12 week blood test next week to see if they have helped my levels.
I also have a 2.5cm nodule, but the doctors don't think that is connected to the issues in anyway. Seems insane to me, but I'm not a doctor.

So, I'm thinking of self medicating using Natural Dissected Thyroid if the doctors doesn't recommend anything else.

The weight gain, bradycardia and mental health symptoms are making my days unbearable.

Does anyone use NDT and recommend a supplier and dose?

It's quackery but knock yourself out. What are your TFTs on thyroxine?

Morello339 · 14/06/2025 11:03

Is it? I've not seen anyone arguing against it's use, just that it was outdated once synthetic thyroxine became available. It is listens on the Thyroid UK website so I didn't think it was considering experimental?

Anyway, they haven't out me on thyroxine at all. Because my levels are only slightest below the lowest rage. Which seems insane, how do they know whether the lowest range is still optimal for me, and I'm below that !
