Worried about dodgy looking mole!

This mole appeared on my arm about 2 years ago.

I went to the GP at the time who said it was nothing suspicious, but I sort of feel they didn’t really look at it, only from a metre or so away from where they were sitting.

Since then, it’s grown in size, the top part has more than doubled. My biggest concern is that it’s in two halves and is growing, but it doesn’t look like other pictures of skin cancer that I’ve seen! Doesn’t look like any skin condition I can find!

I’ve already been back to the GP again who’ve sent dermatology some photos - they’ve asked for more photos which has freaked me out a bit!

I’ve also booked a full body mole check with a private dermatologist as I’m quite moley/freckley so will be able to ask them too.

I guess I’m just looking for reassurance or if anyone has anything similar! Maybe it could be a skin tag! Worried I’ve left skin cancer for 2 years and now I’m dead basically!

I can’t say about your specific mole. But I can tell you I’m peppered with such things, and I have an annual check at the hospital and they’ve dismissed them all as safe/ benign/ natural part of skin.

I have loads, and I mean LOADS of moley spots on my back and torso. They are mainly "age spots" or keratosis/sun damage. Some look "suspect".
I had them checked this year. All okay. Then the dermatologist looked at a freckle on my arm. Really innocent looking small freckle. Had to have that removed. 😔
My point being, unless you are an expert, you just can't tell which are the problem ones. So best to see GP.
Oh and my advice to anyone who is prone to moleyness, stay out of the sun. Prevention better than cure.

I've always had a mole on my neck but I'm aware it has got much bigger over the last few years, but seems a trivial thing to go to the drs for or to go to a dermatologist privately, shape and colour look OK to me but the size is definitely over the 'check it out' size. My DH will probably say I'm nuts if I say I'm booking an appointment for that.
