Aching knees & legs, is this normal?

I am 58, do a fair bit of walking (sometimes several miles a day) and moving around, but when I am sitting for periods and inactive then my legs start to ache. Then when I get up to move again, everything feels very stiff and aching until I force myself to move again.

Does this sound like normal old age symptoms or could I have something like the start of rheumatoid arthritis? This started a couple of years ago.

That doesn't sound right. How far are you walking per day or per week?

Have you tried elevating and icing your legs?

Do you drink enough water?

Any other symptoms?

I’ve had trouble with my legs aching. I had bloods taken and my ferritin was low. Since I’ve been taking iron my legs have been much better.
