Constant uti

So basically about 8 months ago I started getting constant UTI’s. I’ve literally had about 10 of them ! I’m a 39 year old female. Regular periods. Everytime the sample is sent off it comes back as ecoli. I keep being given antibiotics . I went private and saw a urologist and he recommended hiprex which I now take daily. I’m on on estriol cream - not sure if I am peri menopausal but gp said the cream may help. I’ve had a kidney and bladder ultrasound which was fine. I’m just at my wits end ! They said to take hiprex for three months then if no joy take long term antibiotics then if no joy have a cystoscopy. I’m just so worried everything I pee on the stick there’s trace of blood (not visible)
what could be causing this ? I’ve never suffered with them before now it’s like every month! I follow all guidelines - wee and shower after sex, wipe front to back etc so what else could it be? I’m paranoid I’ve got bladder cancer or something !

I had similar symptoms and it was bladder cancer - BUT my urine samples never had any bugs in them. So give the antibiotics a go before panicking 🙂
(It took 3 years of repeat visits and the actions of an emergency doctor before my own doctor took my problems seriously and sent me for a cystoscopy.)
