I had my tonsils out last year because they were getting infected so often (it took many many years for them to agree to operate, and only did so once the infections were severe enough to put me in hospital ). But for the last few days I hae had pain where my tonsils used to be. It hurts to swallow and cough and I feel that there is a lump in my throat, even though there is nothing there to swell up. I do feel a bit under the weather but I am worried that at 38 weeks pregnant a doctor will not give me anything to help, and my throat just feels raw. Is it normal to get infections on tonsillectomy scars? The operation was last April
