What is wrong with me?

I think I’m going to sound crazy here but I’ll give it a go…

For a while I’ve been feeling “strange” it started a few year ago where every so often I’d have this strange feeling. It’s sort of like a pressure beside my nose, strange feeling behind my eyes… I’ve since linked it with what I think is fatigue. Alongside this I’d get bad heads and feel sick. Brain fog but I can function. Sometimes blurred vision

fast forward to now and it’s increased to a point it’s most days. Some muscle pain but nothing I can’t live with. By the end of the day I’m shattered, eyes are going(blurry) bit of nausea, lack of energy. Bad heads.

I can obviously function. Working full time but the feeling is getting me down, it’s constant.

anyone had this and what was the outcome?

im thinking of getting in touch with the doctors for bloods and I’ve booked an eye test to rule that out.

Sounds like migraine. Is it linked to anything you eat?

amiold · 02/06/2025 19:03

I’m not sure re the eating. I don’t think so, haven’t thought of anything specific that brings it on. Maybe need to keep a food diary.

I’ve just looked and I actually think it could be chronic migraine. Would you recommend anything? Migraleve or similar? Or is that not recommended long term.

I had these exact symptoms and it was linked to eating dairy. Cutting out cheese really helped. I had acupuncture too and even if it was a placebo affect it worked and they haven’t come back. It’s worth a try.

amiold · 02/06/2025 21:52

I might try it, I don’t have that much dairy but do have it daily!
with regard to acupuncture .. do I need anything specific (sorry if that seems a stupid question)

It might be worth going to an optician for an eye test.

amiold · 02/06/2025 22:03

@GoldPosteri have one booked on Friday

Anyone else got any ideas please?

There are so many autoimmune conditions with vague symptoms instead of the expected ones. Also, people often don't realise that they are symptomatic in the first place, as the symptoms were their normal.

I know someone who was diagnosed with coeliac after years of investigations and unsuccessful treatments for migraine. Only once her gut had healed on a GF diet did she realise that it was not normal to be chronically exhausted and to poo three times a day.

Not saying that you have coeliac, just that vague symptoms do not always point to an obvious cause.

Sinus infection? DH gets these, start with a pressure where you describe and affects his vision. He has taken sinutab before, but I think there are two versions and only one works. The GP suggested it as a first option before prescribing any other medication and it has worked for him.

Migraine, as others have suggested also possible.

I would try the doctor again as it is affecting you and they can help.

SophieB0012 · 03/06/2025 10:13

Go to the doctor

amiold · 03/06/2025 14:30

Thanks all I will try the doctor. Something isn’t right but I don’t think it’s life threatening. All my googling led to chronic fatigue so I do feel better reading your responses

I think you really should speak to Dr op, could be any number of things.

amiold · 03/06/2025 20:31

@WonderingWandai have. I went to buy the sinutab and the advisor said to speak to the pharmacist. The pharmacist said he wasn’t happy with my answers and called the doctor. They Seen me within the hour (couldn’t believe it) and they’re going to take my bloods in a fortnight
