Why do we get moles and how do I stop getting them? I see a new mole every time I look in the mirror

Is it a mole or a freckle? You shouldn’t get any new moles after the age of 40 and the main cause is skin damaged caused by the sun so wear a minimum of factor 30 and keep out of the sun. Also check your moles regularly for changes and anything suspicious see your GP. I had an itchy mole and got it checked… spent 5 weeks thinking I was being melodramatic and wasting NhS times and turns out I have skin cancer. Never been a great one for going out in the sun either but it’s made me ultra cautious now
