hi lovey just seen this thread.
as long as you keep him hydrated and he has wet nappies dont worry about him not eating.
he just needs boiled water...even if its small drinks but often he will be fine...the diarolyte only needs to be used after he passes sloppy motions or is sick.
how are you x i have my phone on if you need me

iwillNOTletthisbeatme · 22/05/2008 00:41

time to try and settle us down now i think.i need to wake him again soon and try and get more fluids down him.no sleep for mummy tonight.thankyou starlight x

How are you this morning sweetheart? Breast is best especially at the moment

Psychomum5 · 22/05/2008 08:20

quick update......I did not see this thread yesterday, but I was talking lots on the phone and MSN with her, and told her all signs to watch her for calling docs again etc...

anyhoo.......he wasn't too bad, nor she, once the doc had been last night...she did wonderfully, and did not panic as much she thinks she did.

anyhoo......

got a text this morning, sent about 4.30, saying she is heading into hospital. No other details as yet, but I have sent her a text and will try n update again later with more info.

I can only assume that he stopped either taking fluids, or starting being sicker with them...and of course, she was worrying still about his temp.

Psychomum5 · 22/05/2008 09:34

more update....

apparently he went unresponsive at about 2am......no, sorry......had a feed at 2am, brought all that up, went downhill after that (in that quick scary way babies do), and she then called 999.

he is now on a drip, is a little more wakeful, and is looking better already.

she is prooving what a fabulous mum she is....she is terrified of hospitals as they obviously carry lots of bad memories, yet she over-rode all that to get her dalring J sorted out.....she is stronger than she thinks!!!

anyhoo........will keep more updates as I can, got a birthday boy of my own to go shop for! (DS1 is 8 on saturday!)

((she has just text again to say she is now having coffee and toast that the nurse has bought her)

Oh god! So glad he is looking better. How scary for her

Send my love, was worried about him being so little. It's scary how the situation can change so quickly.

LilRedWG · 22/05/2008 10:33

Psycho - thanks for the update. I've been following IWNLTBM's threads but not posted before. I just had to today!

She is such a great mum, first being alone with a strange man (dr) and then going to hospital with her little one!

Please congratulae her for me - she is so strong.

FAWKEOFF · 22/05/2008 12:30

thanks for the update psycho...have sent a text letting her know how fantastic i think she is doing

FAWKEOFF · 22/05/2008 12:48

another mini update here......

J has taken a feed off her and kept it down (i think) he seems better but she is knackered x x x

Waytmi · 22/05/2008 13:00

Oh dear. Please let her know we're all thinking of them & wishing him a speedy recovery.

Psychomum5 · 22/05/2008 13:14

tut fawke....you beat me to it......

.

yes, he has had a feed, all going ok....he is on another drip so I don;t anticipate her coming home today (and when mine were like this, they used to say 24hr after drip comes down before home), but he is improving and she is CALM.....

.

fawke.....keep texting, she is in need of boosts.

FAWKEOFF · 22/05/2008 13:31

will do psycho x

Psychomum5 · 22/05/2008 13:32

fawke....she is utterly thrilled with your text.....lifted her spirits lots me thinks!

another update.....

milk staying down...he is also very awake and trying to roll around and play......me thinks he is mending as rapidly as he got poorly!

yay....good news

FAWKEOFF · 22/05/2008 14:04
