I have managed to keep IBS at bay for the past 5 months..and actually put on some weight Yippeeeee.
And it has flipping readed it's ugly head again this week... I'm shattered, I have lost the ability to feel hungry again! ( I got all excieted (sp?) when this returned about a month ago).
And it's so bad that I am not working today.
So I guessing.. i'll be on the chicken breast and rice meal plan again for god knows how long, as at the moment it's the only thing that doesn't shoot through. I AM FED UP!!!!

it's rubbish isn't it . Mine is generally related to stress and too much fruit / fibre so it's manageable these days, but when it comes back I don't really eat for 48 hours.

meglet .. Oh honestly I'm trying not to stress out about it as it will make it worse!
but I'm stressing and yes it's awful.

I'm really glad I made a fuss and my gp referred me to a dietician. She confirmed my suspicions that fibre made it worse (for me anyway) so at least I know what to do these days. She reckoned mineral water was a good idea too. Just a pity I can't afford gallons of the stuff.

M I think that I have seen everyone and tested for everything, my poor gp we had a social life together I think
for me white rice in small amounts, chicken breast and mineral water.. all washed down with a ton of pills, a non cramping one, one to slow digestive system down, one to stop acid build up oh and the vitamins etc. I rattle!
I have to totally stay away from fatty/ fibre foods.. and choccy!!! < cries> my taste buds have died I swear!

Do you find that it's stop all signal of hunger meg?

oh that's awful not having chocolate! it forms a major part of my diet , but thankfully it doesn't affect me. I have a hard time as I'm veggie (for moral reasons), as it's nearly all high fibre stuff. I do occasionally consider eating meat again as it may be easier for my stomach.

barnical · 21/05/2008 14:45

If I was veggy it would only leave me with white rice !!!!

LOL at licking food. That would be interesting in a restaurant!

It's weird what helps my tummy though. When I'm really bad I have a bowl of the veggie soup at wagamama and it makes me better immediatley. In theory it shouldn't work. I wonder if the soya / miso ingredients help?

aghhh theory goes out of the window with this I believe!
