I need your best and speediest cold remedies please!

Just that really, woken up with one hell of a cold and I’m due to be on the holiday of a lifetime in a week. Please give me your best and speediest cold remedies, I don’t care how wild or stupid they sound, at this point I’m desperate!

Add lemon, ginger and turmeric root to water and bring the boil. Add honey and a pinch of black pepper. Always works a treat for me. You could also try echinacea tea. I found that to also be excellent.

Night nurse liquid every night
Vicks First Defence 4 times a day

Metatone tonic and 2 x effervescent vitamin C (even tho you’re only meant to take one !)

Ahh thank you all! I shall give them all a try. I had a look for some night nurse at the shops yesterday but couldn’t find any, maybe it’s a job for the Big Boots in the Big Town.

While you're in Boots, pick up some of their own brand Mucus Relief pills - if you do end up full of snot, they do a decent job of drying it up during the day. Night Nurse will do the same and knock you out a bit at night. Good luck!
