Does this mole look suspicious?

Hi all,

Planning on calling the GP in the morning.
I’ve had a large mole on my upper back since my teens (now 27). Never really took much notice of it.

However I noticed in the mirror this evening that it seems to have changed colour and became lighter in areas where as before, it was a solid dark brown mole (pic attached).

There is a family history of skin cancer so I’m worrying it’s something sinister.

Any advice appreciated!

Hey @PebbleDashAtOne, thanks so much for asking 🥰 The gp said for me to photograph it and then again in 8 weeks. If it changes in the meantime he said to go back. Fingers crossed it doesn’t!

Sounds like a sensible plan. I hope 🤞 there won’t be any changes. I’m glad you’re ok for now. 😊

@Lucylu1984 I sent the picture to the GP lasy month (it’s not changed size but got some more lighter patches on it). He said it was fine but I’m to send another photo next month so they can monitor it.
