Gallstones attack

I think I'm currently having a gallstone attack. The pain is coming in spasms. I took some codeine but it hasn't taken effect yet.

Any advice?

Ah, I feel for you. I found meditation helped me breathe through it until Co-codamol kicked in. Sometimes different positions would work welll, or a warm shower on the pain region. It’s horrible. Had my gallbladder out 10 years ago, best thing ever.

Not much use right now if you havnt got any but buscopan really helps a lot.
Rocking back and forth whist sat down helps me a little and water. Or hot water bottle

At the risk of being sensationalist and terrifying go and see a doctor now. My sister lost her best friend from school recently who left behind her 7 year old daughter as the gall stones got too bad, they operated and it caused a problem in the gall bladder that started a chain reaction of infection and Helen died earlier this year after 6 weeks in hospital. She did have time to organise her own funeral. That was pretty shocking for everyone as she should have had another 40 years. And her poor daughter and husband. Doctor - now.

Thanks everyone. I was up all night vomiting, have had a little sleep and the pain has gone.

I was told by the Dr to contact 999 if I vomited again but it's impossible when you can't move. I also have to get down a flight of stairs to let in the ambulance crew and I couldn't even crawl.

I have an ultrasound coming up next week and am just going to rest.
