Tonight my DD12 revealed to an online GP that she took 9 paracetamol in one go but around 6 weeks ago. We didn’t see anyone at the time as I wasn’t aware.

The GP has insisted we come to a&e tonight to have blood tests. (Which we have, we are here now).

How likely is it that there could be damage, and are a&e likely to take it seriously given it was weeks ago, or think we are wasting their time?

It’s difficult to know. My son took 30 in one of his overdoses and was very fortunate not to have long lasting effects.
I hope she’s ok x

As suspected they didn’t need to do any physical tests due to how long ago it was.

They were lovely and gave her some places she could talk to etc but really didn’t need to go as the GP insisted.
