Viagra - NHS

Middle aged DH has started to struggle recently. He gets an errection as quickly as he always did, but doesn't always maintain it.

He went to GP who had no interest in investigating any causes, but told him to try Viagra over the counter if he thought it would help. He refused to issue a prescription for it.

He has done that (the cheaper generic one, I forget the name), and it has helped a lot.

However, even the cheaper one is very expensive and the NHS website does seem to say it's available on prescription.

I'll agree with anyone who says perhaps it shouldn't be available on the NHS, but if it is, how would he go about getting it?

Hi.Try taladafil from online pharmacist.Brand name is cailis but just get the generic. Its £26 for 16 20mg tablets from menchem and each tablet can last 24hrs so a bit of spontaneouty can happen. It gets a bit unromantic when you have a time frame with viagra.Hope this helps

If it's available on prescription and the GP won't prescribe change to a more obliging GP.

Actually he has tried that, last night, and it wasn't very successful, but he was raring to go this morning 😁Does it take longer to take effect? He didn't want to take it too early in case it wore off, but if it lasts 24 hours, maybe he should have?

I'm not sure. The tablets are 20, but I suspect he took 2.
