Please help understand these results

Not sure what any of it means

You are very unlikely to have inflammatory bowel disease.

Everything looks fine, the calprotectin level was 46 and up to 100 is normal

I’m not even sure if there is a result

I believe the test was to see if I have bile malabsorption?

It says right there !

That test was to look at faecal calprotectin and the result was 46ug/g

I think the poor punctuation and layout of the results makes it hard to see, but i read that as result is 46 and that under 100 is fine.

Think that test is for risk of a bowel condition

I did 2 different tests but only have one result, one was the FIT test to screen for blood (poss cancer) and the other was to see if I have bile acid malabsorption. Not sure which test this is the result of.

I’ve had that one to check for inflammation as part of bowel cancer referral so would imagine it’s that

The only way to test for bile acid malabsorption is a seHCAT scan. If you haven’t had that then you haven’t been checked! Your GP may be doing other tests first to look for the cause of diarrhoea (?) as that scan is an expensive test!
