Skin Tag

A few months ago noticed I had a small squishy lump on outside of anus. I thought it might have been an external pile (tried pushing it back in but nothing happened). It's not grown or anything but still there and it's not causing me any bother does it sound like perhaps it's an anal skin tag?

I had a pile that was blocking my anus and I couldn’t push back in. The gp said that if it was dark in colour they would get it removed, it wasn’t but they called me in to check. She saw it and said she thought it was thrombosed so sent me to A&E. 8 hours later, I was told it was fine and would shrink on its own. Someone suggested witch hazel gel, so I used that and it went away in a week.

I've definitely got a skin tag, it's in my armpit and annoying me. Would witch hazel help me do you think ? TIA

If it was in my armpit I’d just cut it off with clean, sharp nail scissors. Stings for a second, bleeds for a short moment and then it’s gone.

Or tie some thread around it and it'll die and drop off, NOT the anus tag, obviously!

Hello. Did you ever get this checked out? Was it a skin tag and did you have it removed on the NHS?
