The number on the left is your result and in brackets next to it is the normal range for that result so if your figure falls within that range is 'normal'

I don't know much about cholesterol but I think they generally like it to be under 5 overall but that score is made up of other cholesterol scores I think the triglycerides cholesterol is the good cholesterol.

bloods need interpreting in context - the person who requested them and has access to your medical history/medication/old test results etc is the one who needs to advise you.
