Lost weight and cholesterol worse!

I've been losing weight for about a year on Mounjaro, and have now lost nearly 5 stone. I actually felt like my bloods might be positive for once, but no - my cholesterol levels are worse. The LDL is up and the HDL is down, so the ratio is also rubbish.

The GP already tells me to 'keep an eye on it' every year, and now I think they might suggest statins. I'm upset, as everyone else seems to improve their results with weight loss. I'm only 41 - has anyone else gone on statins at this age? I'll put my results below:

Total cholesterol: 4.91
LDL: 3.2
Trig: 1.7
HDL: 1
Ratio: 4.9
Non HDL: 3.9

Thank you.

If you’re still actively losing weight, it can actually take a while to settle, it can go up during the weight loss process itself, but it should settle once you stabilise. Also, are you looking at the individual numbers - seeing if good cholesterol has risen?

Have you made other changes such as diet (oats, cholesterol reducing marg) and exercise?
These are super helpful.
Congratulations on the weight loss.
