It doesn't look infected. It if gets more red, swollen or painful or worse in some other way, get it checked.

Yeah I do think I am over reacting because of what happened to my friend so I always get panicked about sepsis.

It looks a bit angry but it doesn't look like sepsis.

It probably wants a bit of antiseptic dabbed on it and then left to dry in the air for a few days.

I'm not a medic but that's what I'd do

wounds are red when they are healing, as this is just your skin and leaking clear or transparent yellowy (not opaque pus) fluid is also normal as it forms a scab, keep an eye if it feeling very hot, swollen, leaking fluid that doesn’t look normal or smells bad or you feel physically unwell

I had a cut that got bacteria into my bloodstream as a kid. It actually didn't feel too different to any other cut pain wise but it had this little red line from it that was travelling down my arm and growing in size. My parents took me to A&E feeling fine and they were really worried about it and had me on very strong antibiotics, saying if the line grew anymore I'd have to have antibiotics intravenously in the hospital. I think that may have been the early signs of potential sepsis? I don't know. This picture to me looks like there may be some irritation bacteria in the wound but the usual kind that clears on its own in a day or two?
