I've had a very slight stiff knee for a few months.
Last month it's got very very stiff. Catching. Achy. Morning stiffness when I first wake up. Painful.
I've also developed a baker cyst behind the knee.
GP ordered x ray. X ray shows mild osteoarthritis.
GP now ordered an ultrasound to get the cyst.
I'm 45. Always been active. It's not stopping me walking but it's so sore sometimes.
My nan and mum both had osteoarthritis, but mine has in 4 weeks really ramped up.

It could be linked to perimenopause.

Hi @Justwingingit2005 what ended up happening with your knee? My relative got what they said (two ultrasounds so far) is a ruptured baker’s cyst and it has been a complete nightmare and has gone on for months. Did yours end up being resolved somehow?

Hi @Justwingingit2005, thanks for sharing your story. I’ve also recently been diagnosed with a ruptured bakers cyst. How long did it take you to fully recover? I’ve not been able to run or exercise for 4 months now! Although there are subtle signs of improvement, my knee is still swollen and it’s painful going up and down the stairs.
