Exclusivley breastfeeding and my period started

I am EBF and I had a bleed at 8 weeks post-partum and now like clockwork, I've started bleeding again right on time at 12 weeks.

I'm an extreme hypochondriac and just wanted to hear if this happened to anyone else?

With my first daughter - no periods for 6 months until I stopped feeding completly and now this time round, I'm bleeding.

Any reassurence appeciated!

If you knew EBF doesnt act as contraception then why are you so worried about your periods returning?

Surely that's a given. You generally need to be having periods to get pregnant?

I don't want to go into specifics, but I'm high risk for cancers that can cause bleeding. I wasn't expecting my period and so it was a bit jarring, and wanted to know if it was common to bleed while EFB and therefore can put the worry to rest
