Hello,
I posted last week about a white lump on the back wall of the throat. The doctor said it was an ulcer, it’s still there. I now and for the past few days have a continuous I’d say burning sensation in my sternum and right shoulder.
it seems to get worse as the day goes on but is always there in some shape of form. I’ve been taking pyrocalm as thought it might be acid reflux but that hasn’t done anything. Has anyone had anything similar?

Try some Gaviscon or Pepto Bismol liquid.... the aniseed flavour type liquids that coat your stomach with a lining and stop acid from rising up. They should work better than the Omeprazole you are taking. I had a similar problem and think it was from the acid burning my throat, weakening the lining and causing me to have ulcers etc at the back of my throat. You can take these heartburn/acid reflux liquids daily whereas omeprazole should not be taken long term ideally.

I’ve been to the doctors today and now have a two week urgent referral for head and neck. I’m feeling very anxious

That's bound to make you anxious. But when I was putting the two week pathway for a gynae issue, my GP explained to me that it's the only way for them to avoid a patient being stuck waiting for months, and that it will likely be found to be benign. And that's exactly what happened. Did you doctor explain their concerns?

I agree, take gaviscon 3 times a day for 8 weeks and see if that settles it. I have had similar.
