Just had a blood test done, no reason other than I havent had one for years, went to Dr for back pain and she suggested a blood test aswell. Anyway results have come through and panicking now and can’t get a follow up for 6 weeks. Everything ok apart from Haemoglobin concentration 117 (120-156) , Mean Cell Volume 79.8 (80-99) and Mean Cell Haemglobin 24.8 (27-33). Are these level concerning, I’m 55, and feel fine or so I thought. Have had gall bladder removed about 10 years ago. Thanks

I’ve had a blood test recently and am pretty anaemic.

My haemoglobin was 89 and iron 4!! I’ve just been put on super strength iron so you could add some OTC iron supplements in the meantime.

it can indicate anaemia. They should check ferritin,

You’re very slightly anaemic and probably will be recommended an iron supplement

Have you had a FIT test, OP?
