Vaginal Atrophy/Menopause

Can internal burning/soreness be a symptom of either of those conditions. I am 46 so I am not sure if i could be in peri menopause. I don’t have it all the time just sometimes after peeing or just at random times. It’s been on and off for a few months.

Regarding VA I don’t know if I have had this for years but my inner labia literally disappeared when I was in my twenties and I was so embarrassed I never went to the doctor about it.

Could be lichen sclerosus? That does need medical attention and would explain the burning/soreness and labia loss.

I used to get this just before my period so it seemed to be hormonal. Topical Vaginal oestrogen has completely sorted out the problem to my relief as it was v painful at time.

Labial changes in menopause are due to the loss of estrogen. The labia can thin, shrink or totally disappear.

I would say yes. I will link my thread if that’s helpful, been struggling with this for ages

Sounds like va to me.
You need oestrogen cream. If your labia have gone grey BTW that's a sure sign!
