In early March I had chest pain on left side, tachycardia and some breathlessness. Urgent care blood tests showed raised inflammation and d dimer levels so was sent for cat scan. CT scan showed no PE but nodule in left lung and inflamed lymph nodes in lung. Report said likely infection but couldn’t rule out malignancy- take antibiotics and repeat scan in 3 months.
Had 4 courses of antibiotics over 6 weeks plus a course of steroids and inhaler but chest tightness continued for about 3 weeks. Chest tightness gone but still on inhaler and feel breathless if I walk fast, for example.
repeat bloods showed no concerns except very slightly raised inflammation (but gone down since first bloods)
Continue to take inhaler every day. Continue to feel breathless. Slightly relieved by inhaler. Other symptoms more recently have included a sore throat, a minor cough, constant acid reflux, loss of appetite, neck pain, bloating and fatigue. Body pains. Needing to lie down and nap every afternoon. Still not back at work as have demanding job with no option to work from home or reduce demands.
I’m not sure what I’m looking for with this post. Does this sound like post viral fatigue or post covid? Worried about the cancer thing I guess tho no cancer at all in my family and I’m 41.
