Severe gastritis?

I have been back and forth to the GP/hospital this week with awful abdominal and back pain that’s excruciating through the night. The pain seems to be mild in the day time. Had ultrasound yesterday for suspected gallstones which was clear and my bloods were ok. Was told it’s gastritis that could take 6 weeks to clear and to carry on with Lansoprazole, paracetamol and ibroprofun. They advised going back to GP and requesting a camera down my throat if the pain persists. They also said to call back the unit if symptoms worse

The pain started again about 9pm last night and was so severe until the early hours. No pain relief touched the sides and I also started vomiting (so far it’s just been nausea). I’m at absolute breaking point/ exhaustion and struggling to comprehend how gastritis can be so severe at night but not in the day.

Please can somebody help me cure this?

I would knock the ibuprofen on the head, that's one of the biggest guaranteed causes of my gastritis. It's worse at night as you're lying down so raising the head end of the need/extra pillows recommended.

I live with this constantly and when I have a flare like you eat only white things (toast, fish and rice mainly) until it calms down.

But honestly stop the ibuprofen now, can get co codamol for pain relief instead.

The doctors told you to keep taking lots of ibuprofen?\

How much are you eating, do most of your calories come from the Lucozade right now?

Are you 100% sure a qualified doctor told you to take ibuprofen for gastritis?

Because it is absolutely basic that you stop ibuprofen straight away.

Sorry I meant to put Buscapan, not ibroprofun.

My appetites is completely off so it’s just toast/ cereal little and often. Any recommendations on diet?
