What is this white lump?

Does anyone know what this white lump could be? It’s at the back of the throat.
Yesterday it felt like something was stuck at the back of my throat all day with a horrible taste in my mouth. Today my throat has felt sore. I now have a headache, horrible taste and feeling generally unwell. Any ideas?

Tonsil stone?

I third a tonsil stone. They are harmless but absolutely stink.

They can be trapped under a layer of skin.

I’ve tried to remove it with a cotton bud but it’s right on the back wall of the throat and makes me gag so much and it also didn’t budge. My husband thinks it looks more like a spot and isn’t in a pocket by the tonsil so doesn’t think it’s a tonsil stone 🤷🏻‍♀️

I saw the doctor yesterday who said an ulcer, I’m not convinced but they haven’t said to do anything just rinse with salt water so hopefully it goes away by itself.
