Is this ringworm?

Hi all. I've had this circular patch of red, itchy skin on my elbow for about two weeks now. It will fade and almost go away but then flares back to again. It's very itchy but also quite painful, like a burning sensation. I thought it might be eczema but could it be ringworm? We don't have any pets and nobody else in the house has it. It's just on my elbow, nowhere else.

It's ringworm. Very annoying and highly infectious so try not to rub your arms together, especially rubbing it on your head because ringworm of the scalp is a complete pita to get rid of. Get a prescription for a steroidal cream for the GP or (if they're anything like mine) show it to the the pharmacist.

I've had ringworm and it looked just like this. GP prescribed a topical cream and it cleared up very quickly.
