I regularly get sinus infections on my right side. I’ve had one for the past week and never been to the doctors for them as they always subside using nasal sprays, nasal irrigation and steaming. Normally it’s the usual throbbing on one side and green discharge.
Last night I started getting a sudden awful headache and pain in the back of my neck. I haven’t had a headache in years. Also had a fever, body aches, chills and nausea.
I saw the nurse this morning who prescribed antibiotics and said I still had a fever and elevated blood pressure. She said if I get any more shivering or swelling to go straight to A&E. My head still feels horrendous after neproxan so I will see if I get any more shivering and head to A&E if so.
Has anyone ever experienced this with a sinus infection? I’ve been having them for years and this is by far the worst. Worrying it’s something more serious.
Any advice greatly appreciated!
