I'm so hot, inside, and irritable....
and keep going blank in the head.

Had these when I had a temporary hormone imbalance 2 years ago - prickly hot feeling would rise up from my chest and I'd feel hot and dizzy and panicky. I was only 35!

Did you get treatment, greenlawn?
Or did it sort itself out?

Thanks

I seem to be starting to get these

Often at night usually the week before AF is due

Sometimes during the day they just appear out of nowhere

Almost always it is when I am feeling stressed or anxious about something.

And I feel red mist-ish about quite trivial things, too.

I am trying to increase my intake of isoflavones without taking a supplement.

They are not hot flushes - they are a power surge

greenlawn · 18/05/2008 18:23

I had a mirena put in which helped as I was also having heavy bleeding - tbh I was pretty terrified of an early menopause as my mum went through one. Then we decided on a last attempt at another baby, so had the mirena out and a year later here I am pregnant again. I don't know what I will do after this baby is born - not desperately keen on another mirena, but nor do I want the hot flushes etc back! I'm hoping it really was a temporary problem, but I gather its quite difficult to say one way or the other.

lol pizzaeater

Congratulations, greenlawn

gp has said in the past that my hormones are all wonky, have tried hormone manipulation ut it made me worse.

I guess i'm just facing the inevitable!

Enjoy your pregnancyg

Natural remedies could be the way then - evening primrose, black cohosh (?) - lots of people seem to swear by them. Good luck with it, I have to say they made me feel v. out of control and panicked and I'm not looking forward to getting them back.
