Hi
at present I’m so scared I’m recovering from pulmonary embolism.
Ive so far had a echocardiogram showing borderline dilated LA and The lAS is very aneurysmal and bows into the RA however unable to clearly demonstrate any flow across.
i have no idea what any of this means i haven’t got my first cardiologist appointment till October and the gp is fully booked till June.
i have 2 special needs children and my anxiety is through the roof does anyone know anything please ?

Have you phoned 111? You might be able to get a phone appointment or at a walk-in centre to discuss your symptoms and hopefully calm your anxiety.

I put your text into the Perplexity bot. FWIW it said this:

You have a mildly enlarged left atrium and a bulging wall between the heart’s upper chambers, but no evidence of abnormal blood flow between them. These findings are often monitored over time and may not require treatment unless associated with symptoms or other heart problems. Your doctor may want to look for underlying causes (like high blood pressure or valve issues) and assess your stroke risk if other risk factors are present.

Obviously you want to talk to your own providers, but this suggests that you are not at risk of an emergency at present.

From what this says, you (and all of us) want to follow the general principles of stroke and heart attack avoidance - no smoking, weight and stress control, exercise, healthy diet, limit alcohol, check blood pressure.

Doesn't sound like you need to panic. Good luck. x
