Why am I so tired in the day but fine at night?

Am not anaemic, no thyroid probs, not pg etc. However, I find myself struggling during the day and could happily sleep all day, yet by the evening, around 6pm, I feel myself perking up....

Tis very weird! Any advice?

And what time do your dcs turn in then Puss? I find I perk up immeasurably once mine are tucked up...

Psychomum5 · 17/05/2008 21:02

I am one too.....drives DH nuts.

I do my best work in the evenings!!!

I perk up when mine are in bed too.

PussinJimmyChoos · 17/05/2008 21:10

Lol at perking up once DC's are in bed! DS is nearly two but even when DH is home at the weekends to help with him, I'm still tired....its starting to get me down actually as want to feel motivated to do more than crawl back to bed!!

I often feel the same...for me I think it is psychological... in the daytime I have 1000 responsibilities; kids, job, house etc and it can exhaust me just thinking about it all. Once the kids are asleep, work is another 8 hours away and it is too dark to see the dust then everything seems easier somewhat and I perk up ready for some "me time"

Plus I feel more tired when DH is around... I think it is my body telling me I can relax as DH is there to take over

I want to be able to get out of bed in the morning and feel as if I've had a good nights sleep....I also want...(please do not laugh!!!) to do an exercise DVD first thing while everyone asleep and I've got some peace and quiet.....

you can try re-setting your body clock i guess. make yourself go to sleep earlier and wake up earlier. if you look for your 'me time' at, say 5am when no-body else is awake but you and the birds you might start to feel more energised...

nell speaks much sense tho.

cupsoftea · 18/05/2008 09:16

I'm like this! it's like having a short break - perhaps if I had a break in the day I'd be full of energy!
