How to sleep with Cellulitis

Hi,

does anyone have tips for sleep aids, I have cellulitis which feels like it is taking over and has blistered. I cannot walk on one leg it is misery.

Last night 2 Amitriptyline and oral morph I woke 3am thinking it was far later.

In the past it has only been a recovery in a few days/weeks but trying to sleep yesterday with a pillow to raise leg felt like sandpaper. My temperature keeps raising and I’m off my food as I just cannot cope with the ensuing diarrhoea due to large quantity of antibiotics and lots of fluids before being consumed.

The elderly ward I’m now placed on say the doctor can switch tomorrow to ibuprofen but I also need something to protect my stomach.

Ask for a zopiclone - I've always had it prescribed in hospital. Hope you heal soon Flowers

Lots of moving and exercise in the day.

Ugh I was on a dementia ward when discharged from ICU ( I'm 31 by the way) ( I was on that ward for 4 months after 8 weeks in ICU!!)
I had necrotising faschitis amongst other issues but I was given zopiclone and melatonin to help me sleep I was also still quite sedated from the ICU meds)

Oh sounds horrendous, you have my sympathies. Are you taking any probiotics, won’t help with the sleep as such but definitely might help the stomach issues.

Lots of moving and exercise in the day.

Yes but can’t weight bare on one foot.

don’t know if it is the stress of this place but I’ve grown some some strange lump of puss which they will now operate on but I’m at risk of amputation or being that woman with a disfigured foot.

Please god.

@Ladymuck2022
I was also that woman,
I was nearly amputed on from groin downwards - I had NF, sepsis, cellulitis and multi organ failure. They will always go down the surgical debridment route before amputation if viable.
I was already in an induced coma by this point ( I was already in ICU for suicide attempt, this was a complication)
So I can't imagine how scared you are being awake and aware.
I'm thinking of you.
